More photo fun
I'm so excited.. look what I got!!
The Diana camera range is a throw back to the good old days of photography. Photos taken with these cameras have flashes of light, dancing colours and pretty much everything that a modern photographer would say is wrong with a photo! Added to that it's analogue meaning you shoot on film!! Yes!, how seriously old school!! No instant gratification here (Ok, there is an instant print attachment that one could buy) and 'worst' (?) of all, you can't review your photos first before sending them to print!, once its shot that's just the way it is! Many would ask why one would 'torture' yourself by using the plastic camera and old-school way of photography when you can get the same / similar effects with a digital camera and applying whatever filters are available?!, for me, its going to be a way of learning photography all over again - it will force me to think of what I'm shooting and how I compose the shot and I will learn alot more about my camera and its features as opposed to now when my clever digital camera does all the thinking for me.
I'm over the moon with this really cute camera - I cannot wait to get my hands on enough film and to start learning. It's going to be so much fun!
